Kemi & Timothy’s wedding weekend in Downtown St. Louis, Missouri was a celebration of love, legacy, and luxury—flawlessly executed by Touch of Jewel Events & Designs. Following their elaborate traditional wedding in Nigeria just months earlier, this stateside affair was nothing short of grand. With a guest count exceeding 500, our team flew in from Texas to plan and coordinate the entire experience alongside a curated team of top-tier vendors from around the country and abroad.
The day began at the Renaissance Hotel, where the bride and her 20-person wedding party prepped in glamorous style. A heartfelt first look set the tone for the emotional moments to follow. Guests gathered inside the transformed convention center hall for a stunning indoor ceremony. As the bride made her entrance, she appeared to float down the aisle on a bed of clouds, with a live saxophonist serenading the moment—bringing tears to many eyes.
During cocktail hour, the ambiance remained elevated with a dramatic dry ice presentation for the cocktails and mocktails, paired with passed hors d’oeuvres. A custom 8-foot mirrored seating chart guided guests to their reception tables—an impressive first impression of what was to come.
The reception was a true nod to the couple’s Nigerian heritage—vibrant, soulful, and full of life. The energy was unmatched from start to finish. The DJ kept the crowd on their feet, while the culinary experience delighted with an abundant offering of Nigerian delicacies, including an authentic Abula station that had guests coming back for seconds. Every detail—from the opulent floral design to the surprise performances—was intentional and infused with culture, class, and charisma.
