Emmanuel, a traveling ER doctor, was on the front lines of the pandemic, while Nakachi faced her own trials in medical school out of state. Their dedication to their professions and to each other remained steadfast through these trying times. When it became possible, the couple moved forward with their wedding plans, choosing Dallas for its significance—the bride’s parents lived there, making it a meaningful location for their union.
The wedding was adapted to meet safety protocols, including mask requirements and a reduced guest count to comply with COVID restrictions. To ensure that no loved one missed out, the celebration was live-streamed, allowing friends and family from Nigeria, Europe, and beyond to partake in the joyous occasion.
The cultural heritage of the couple was prominently featured, with outside catering providing authentic Igbo cuisines, celebrating their roots.
