5 Ways to Keep Your Wedding / Event Guest Safe During Covid-19

In the midst of Covid-19, weddings and event are still moving forward. Some weddings are scaling down, some changing to an out-door plan and others moving along in a bigger space. In our last blog write up, we shared guidelines that the CDC have put in place along with venue owners to ensure a safe gathering. Now let’s address things you could do to give your guest the re-assurance they need that they will be in a safe environment at your wedding and event.

Guest Reduction

Consider reducing your guest and give the option of attending in person and attending virtually. Set up a virtual event experience that will make the virtual guests feel like they are part of the event.

Short Ceremony

Consider having an outdoor ceremony and keeping the ceremony as short as possible since this is when guests would be seated in close proximity to each other the most.

Cocktail Reception vs Seat down dinner style

When you think of a wedding, you think of a formal sit-down reception style; however, have you thought about having a classy, upscale cocktail style reception. This is an interesting concept to consider so that your guests can feel free moving around and not feel compelled or boxed into seating at a table next to people they don’t know. Instead, maybe consider having food stations with serving attendants to indulge your guests with a variety of cuisine options.

Useful Favors

Some may think wedding favors are a waste of money, but only if you get non meaningful items. Here are some fun and useful items you can provide to your guests that will ensure they stay safe at your wedding.

Customized masks

Hand sanitizers

Customized coasters that can be used to cover glasses set on the table

Individually wrapped cakes or desserts

List FAQ on wedding website

Create an FAQ page on your website that answers questions that your guests may worry about. Some of the questions you can address are:

Number of guests in attendance?

Will you be having an outdoor or indoor wedding?

How will you encourage social distancing?

How will food be served? Buffet vs Plated?

Will there be sanitizing/hand washing station?

Will face coverings be required?

Will there be signing of waivers?

Will there be temp checks?

Hopefully, the tips provided here will help you help your guests spread love and not germs!
